The Hatch Map I pissed around with an enhanced screen cap of the Island map that appeared in blacklight on the door of the Swan hatch during "Lockdown," this week's episode of LOST (image from Lost-Media.com) for a while, but by virtue of my being busy with actual work, I am way behind the curve on this one. Check out this fully annotated map courtesy of Sledgeweb. Lots of interesting goodies....
The Island looks to have an octagonal structure -- consistent with the Dharma logo's ba gua design -- but the hatches are only six and they are not evenly distributed, suggesting that whatever the deal is with this funky Island, it predates the Dharma Initiative. Or as Homer Noodleman likes to say with gritted teeth over on the LOST-TV forum, "The... Black... Rock..."
"Lockdown" was certainly a loaded episode for the clue hunters. We have the map, we have Locke's dad and his con (the original Sawyer question seems to be heading somewhere in the direction of the Locke-Cooper family tree, but don't be shocked if it ends up being Junior), strange intimations about Jack's past, Nadia's surprise appearance, and of course, "Henry Gale" is more and more interesting all the time... An intense episode, and I liked it to boot.

It still doesn't make much sense as to what some of the acronyms mean. wow, you edited your post right as i posted that link :) Sorry 'bout that. :) When I saw how much better Sledge's version was than mine, my shame drove me to fast action. :D Nadia's appearance? When?
